School Time

We try and do a little bit of school every week, about three days.  We share the office/ school room with daddy.  I think that it is important for me to teach Soley everything that I can.  She loves doing school time and picked it up very quickly.  I feel that I am running out of things to teach her! We are still not sure if we are going to homeschool her or send he to a small private school.  Lucky for us we still have 2.5 more years to decide.

Soley made these cupcakes out of play dough.  I think she did a pretty good job! She would play with play dough all day long if she could!

Painting, what fun! She also LOVES doing this, but it is a ton of clean up!

Creation circles, our felt learning board! Yes I know the circles are out of place! She does not have them all memorized just yet.

She knows all the days of the week in order, and can sing the song.  We are still working on the months, wont be to long.

Daddy Time, Science Center, and other stuff!

LONG POST, LOTS OF PICTURES!

I had to run out the other day to do some errands and Jon and Soley were going to have a Daddy, Daughter morning together.  Jon took Soley to Lowes and when I got back this is what they were working on. Jon is such a loving father and husband we are so lucky to have him! Soley LOVED doing this with Jon, they actually just recently did another project, it was a pirate ship!

For the last two weekends we have been to the science center on Friday night.  Soley asks to go there ALL the time, she loves it!  On Friday and Sat nights it only cost $5 to get in, GOOD Deal.

Here she is taking all the pots and pans and putting on the magnetic wall.

This part of the science center is like a grocery store but of shapes.  You get a cart and a shopping list of different shapes and you have to shop for them and then check out and pay for them.

They have a water section where you can play in the water with toys and different things.

Driving the school  bus, mommy and daddy are sitting in the back. When I asked her where we were going she said, "the mall!" Thats my girl!

She sat for 30 min making sandwiches, she had interesting combinations but it was so cute to watch her stack it just right!  But I will say, every sandwich had at least two slices of bread!

I ran out last night to Kroger to pick up something I forgot for dinner and I came back and this is what they Jon and Soley were doing.  How cute is this? Soley's very first fort, way to go daddy!

Soley's starting to get a pony tail!!!

Our Thanksgiving art project!

We picked up Soley's best friend the other week from Daycare and went to My Gym to play during there open gym time, the girls had a blast!

Putting up the Christmas tree, more pics to come on this.

My cousin sent me this picture the other week from the wedding Soley was in.  She is trying to give Palmer a kiss, how sweet!!!

Soley walked into our room the other day with this on! She had taken a pair of Jon's shorts out of the closet and put them on backwards! I thought she looked adorable!!!

Christmas???

For those of you that know me well, you know that I LOVE a good deal on kids toys for Soley! Because I stay at home and Jon works long hours at work, Soley and I spend a lot of time playing with our toys.  Most kids toys are made from hard plastic or wood, so they are great to buy used because they clean so well!  I have bought many of items for Soley used, and will continue to do so, because you get so much more that way!  So I started looking on craiglist for a baby doll chaining station for Soley for Christmas because she is SO much into her babies!  I ended up finding one for a steal, that had almost never been used.  I brought it home and put it into the garage and was going to store it up somewhere with a blanket over it but did not have time to do it right at that moment.   So I shut the garage and went on with life.  The next morning ( Jon's parents were in town) I hear Soley come running into the living room saying "MOMMMY MOMMMY, you have to come see what I found, you won't believe it!"  Jon's dad had taken her out to the garage to fill up Bentley's dog food bowl, and she found it! So long story short she now has it in her room, and I am still on the hunt for christmas presents!

We finished our basement about a year ago, not all of it, still need to put doors on etc.  But it is functional for us!  There are two big rooms in the basement, bathroom (not finished) and a bar area (not finished). The smaller room is Soley's play room, she has tons of toys and it comes in very handy in the winter time.  The grocery store (display 50% off), house, train table (re-painted it pink), washer dryer, were all bought used) Still needs some more decorating but it's pretty darn cute!

Pretzels!!!

Soley loves to have pretzels of any kind! I found these at the store the other day and I thought that it would be fun for us to make! We had so much fun, I love cooking with Soley she always has so much fun! The only hard part was letting the dough rise for 30 min! That is a LONG time for a two year old who is expecting to eat the pretzels right away! I think she did amazing! I will let you be the judge!
