Fishing & 3 year old ballet

On sunday my parents asked if they could take Soley to the Boat & R.V show ( My dad is looking to buy a gator for his farm).  Of course we said yes! About 45 min after they left I got this picture via text message.
TOO CUTE!! And yes it's a real fish! A vendor had set up this so that the kids could actually go fishing! I almost died when I got this picture, I think her face tells it all!  Soley has been fishing when we were up in Canada but that was last summer.  She came home beaming with joy! My parents also took her to Qdoba (her all time favorite restaurant, and she will tell you that!)  Thanks so much to my parents for taking her for a few hours so that Jon and I could stay at home, watch a movie and clean the house! WE LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

A few weeks ago Soley moved up to the 3 year old ballet class, she wont be 3 until June but she listens really well and her teacher thought she would do well, so we went with it! The main difference is that I can't go in the class with her anymore, but there is a glass wall that we watch though.  She also does 15 min of tap in this class, it is SO cute to watch! In May they will have a big recital and will go on stage by themselves, that should be very interesting! She talks about her recital all the time, she is looking forward to doing another one!

(Soley is back with pink tights and pink bow)

Not a Great video, but at the end of class they do a free dance, you can't here the music but towards the end Soley starts dancing.  Also her one little friend Evie kicks her shoe off! We all were laughing!

This was Soley and Rolfe and their daddy's hockey game this weekend, too sweet!

Our neighbors little girls they are so sweet, they came over yesterday to play after school for awhile, they decided to play dress up!

It's been a fun week so far! Hope you all are doing well!

Bowling and lots of FUN!!!

This weekend we decided to take Soley Bowling! Thank gosh that I have a amazing husband.  What I mean by this is... He works long HARD hours all week long (usually 6 day work weeks) and when he is home on the weekends you can imagine he wants to stay home! But me on the other hand I love to be on the go and even know Soley has a class every day of the week I still like to be going all the time. So he was a good sport and we took soley bowling this weekend.  She had been twice before and really loved it! Last time was at a birthday party my mom and dad took her to and she had so much fun! Well this was glow in the dark bowling and she got a big kick out of this!

I wanted to take a series of picture to show you how my daughter eats the last little bit of ice cream! (Sorbet, can't have any milk products)

AHHHHHH!!!!
 What doesn't everyone do that?
A while ago we went to see my niece and NEW nephew in Tennessee and here are a few picture of the girls playing dress up. (Will post about Isaac next, he is so cute!!!)

This is one of Soley's friends from playgroup her name is Isabella and she is so sweet! And she got somethinig sweeter this past Tuesday! His name is Jack, and Bella is going to be a amazing big sister! We love you Melanie and are so excited for your family of 4!

I have a dream...

I have been trying to do schooling with Soley and a craft with each lesson. This is what we did for Martin Luther King Jr. day! I explained all about him to Soley and I don't think she fully understands but  she will as she gets older.  If you ask her what day it was today she will say his name.  If you ask her What he said, she reply's " I have a dream that one day you will have blond hair, and it's what's on the inside of your heart!" SO stinking cute! I tried to explain to Soley about skin color etc. But she had no clue! And I LOVE THAT!!! So I went the rout of talking about how people have different colored hair, eyes etc.

This weekend we (Friends Dan & Sherri) took our kiddos to a UofL Hockey game and skating for the first time! THEY HAD A BLAST! Soley loves ice skating, she loves watching it and talks about skating all the time.  She loves Angelina Ballerina and has a ice skating dvd and watches it all the time.  She is half canadian so you never know!! Although as you can tell from the videos below, she has some practice ahead of her.  Good thing her daddy is such a good skater, because mama can't skate at all!!!

SOCCER

Two weeks ago, we decided to put Soley into soccer.  I have debated back and forth about putting her in because we do so many classes, but after the first class I am so glad that we did! SHE LOVED IT!  Most of you know that I played soccer since I was 5 years old all the way through college, so it's special to see her play!  Her coaches name is Coach Nick and he is amazing with the kids, and Soley really has taken to him.  This was her first Male teacher so I was not sure how she would do but she loves him!  The class is 45 min long and they run around almost the entire time, it's really cute! I think we will try and put her in a outdoor league in the spring.

Painting her nails before her the big soccer debut!

 Getting her t-shirt/floor length dress!

Having some late night fun with mommy's eye shadow and eye pencil! This was on Monday night at 10:30pm! Yes, most children have been in bed for HOURS but our little sweetie is a night hawk!

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was better then ever! I know I have said it before but seeing your kid experience things brings so much more joy to you then you ever experienced as a child!  This Christmas went by so fast but was SO much fun! Jon's parents arrived a few days before Christmas and we were able to go visit the underground lights of Louisville!  Soley had a blast and loved riding up front to see all the lights! We will defiantly make time for this again next year! For christmas Eve we visited my mom's side of the family and then all attended church together and out to dinner at J. Alexanders ( a 2 year running tradition) it was a blast.  As always Church was amazing our pastors do such a good job of always putting life into perspective.  Christmas morning was amazing! Soley had so many gifts to open and she enjoyed every single one!  She was more interested in making sure everyone else had a gift, and enjoyed watching and helping them open their gifts then her own.  She has such a good spirt to her! After Christmas gifts were over we headed to see my dad's side of the family for brunch and more presents.  We then headed out to my parents house for the night and presents.(will post that later)! WHEW what a day! We had a amazing Christmas and are thankful everyday for God sending his ONE and ONLY son to be born by a virgin to later die for our sins.  Merry CHRISTmas!
The video below is LONG but very well worth watching if you watch until the end! Hope you enjoy!  Thanks again to Jon's parents for coming AGAIN this Christmas from Canada! We love having you and always cry when you have to go home! Can't wait for you to move here one day!

New Years Eve!!!

Wow! What a night! I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had last night!  It's become a tradition for all of us to get together on new years (Dan, Sherri & Rolfe and us)! Since having kids things have changed a little but not much!
The night started out with a AMAZING dinner at Fuji (one of my favorites!) And by the way when I say amazing I mean minus the fact that Rolfe (POOR KID, I FELT SO BAD FOR HIM) cried the whole time because he has a fear of fire(they cook dinner in front of you, Japanese restaurant) and that I had to call 911 because a 92 year old women at our table became unresponsive and could not lift her head, and we had to carry her out on the chair that she was sitting in! But other then all that it was great! Thankfully she was okay and Soley and I stopped to pray for her  and her family!
After our dinner we headed back to our house where the kids played and played and played! Rolfe and Soley are so much alike so they do so well together!  Before long it was midnight and the kids were still going strong and we all rang in the new year together!  We had sparkling grape juice (which Soley has NEVER had anything like that) that we toasted with! Soley loved it, and continue to ask for more and more and more! Around 12:45 we got the kiddos into bed, and then it was adult game time! Long story short we ended our game time at 4am! YES CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! We played 2 games of hard fought cranium and jenga.  I would not have changed anything for the world, getting to spend that time with best friends is so much fun, but it was VERY rough getting up with the kids the next morning, lucky for us, they slept until 9.  We then had a huge breakfast fixed by me and Sherri, and the kids played for a while then we said BYE to the Bridles.  This was Soley's first sleepover at our house, and she loved it! I can't wait for next new years, I don't know how it could get any better! We love you Brindle's! Thanks for always being there!!!
