What can Soley do?

I can't believe how much Soley can do these days, I like to say that she is much smarter then the average 22 moth old but I guess I am byes, I will let you decide!

* Speaks in 3-5 word sentences
* Knows her basic shapes ( square, circle, rectangle, heart, star, triangle, oval)
* knows her colors
* Can count to ten
* Knows her full name
* Knows all her family and close extended family's real names ( usually calls Daddy Jon, pretty fun) ( the other day I heard her say, Jon can you hurry up?) LOL too cute!
* Loves gymnastics, knows, pike, seat drop, lunge, tuck jump, straddle, apart together)
* Can jump with two feet
* Loves doing forward and backward rolls

I'm sure there is more but gives you an idea... She really is a sweet little girl, I can't tell you how many times a day she says thank you! She has such good manners, always says please and thank you, or no thank you.  (very good at that :)  She prays before dinner each night, her normal prayer is "thank you god for this food, thank you god for this day, AMEN!" If you ask her how she got so tall, pretty, nice, anything she will say God and Jesus.  She truly is a gift from god, and I am thankful for her everyday!  We are doing preschool right now and working on our days of the week, months of the year, creation circles ( order in which God created the earth) and much more!  Soley and Livy always watch bubble guppies after taking a bath at Livy's house, then Livy goes to bed around 8 and we head home to play until 11! Then Soley goes down! LOL

 Soley's trampoline, it has a net around it, we ha just got this part set up and she had to ju on it right away, but Papa (Jon's dad, put the net up very shortly after, we love this!)

 Play-dough! A favorite in this house! My mom did not allow it when we were little so I enjoy doing it with her!  She really loves making a snake and putting eyes on it!

 Sand and Water, what a hit, got this for her first birthday, boy what a good toy! All the kids in the neighbor hood love the sand! I'm the only mom that allows sand!

Easter

I know I'm behind so here it goes... Easter was So So much fun this year. I remember as a little girl loving Easter and all the Holidays! All of you out there who have children k ow what I'm talking about, getting to experience things through your children is SO much more fun then you ever had as a child! I just live being Soley's mom! Here are some pictures from Easter and a video of Soley looking for her eggs. This year we did the Easter bunny but Soley kept saying that it was Jon who was doing it, guess she is too smart! I also spent a ton of time teaching her to memorize that Jesus died on the cross for us! Take a look! Just figured out can only to pics on the iPhone app. Will load video later. This is soley at church and her and Jon that afternoon at the park.

Christmas Morning..

Hey I can't say how sorry that I am that I have not been a good blogger! Things have been kinda crazy around here! I am still working on putting a password on the blog. should have it up and running soon, but until then I wanted to make a quick post on Christmas. This video will just melt your heart of Soley on her second Christmas! I thought that Christmas was so much fun as a kid and adult, but nothing is like seeing your child enjoy Christmas. She makes everything better!

TINK, TINK

Soley update....

Favorite Color- This one is easy... Can you guess? That's right, PINK! But when she says it, it sounds like tink. I just love to hear her say it, it could be one of the cutest things! Two stories that come to mind when we talk about the color pink. First, we went to a open gym at a soccer field. It's for children walking to age 4. We get there and we walk on to the field and I run and go get Soley a ball and kick it to her and she say's no, TINK (pink) and runs across the field to a pink soccer ball! I might add at the only one in the whole place! I said to her "Soley that just melted mamma's heart!"

Second, every night before she falls asleep I put her in her crib and she asks for her blanket to be put over top of her, and she looks at me and says "TINK TINK." and I reply "yes Soley it's pink." TOO CUTE!

One last thing... I know we are not supposed to lie to our children but I was in a pickle the other day, Soley wants everything to be pink and we were going to a funeral and I brought a sucker as treat to keep her busy, and she will only take them if they are pink, so even know it was orange I told her that it was pink! She was so happy, hope it doesn't come back to bit me in the but when she learns the rest of her colors!

Halloween 2011

Halloween 2011

You can't see all of this pictures that well in the video so I figured I would post them too! We had so much fun this year with Soley at Halloween, I can't wait for next year. For those of you that know Soley she never stops! So this night was perfect for her, I think we did 15-20 houses! Yes she is only one! I can't wait for next year!

How cute is her hair! I have to admit I am a little, actually a lot jealous! It's going to be years before Soley's hair gets this long!

Pumpkin Patch 2011

Blessings

I am so excited to finally get this together. We went to the beach last week with Jon's parents for a vacation. We decided to drive since Soley did not have a good flight experience last tim ( I don't know if you could even call it fair, considering she screamed for the entire 2 hour flight and I cried right along with her knowing we had another 2 hour flight coming. Oh ya, if you are wondering she screamed for that entire flight too!) Anyways she did great in the car on the way there we made it 5 hours before we stopped for the first time, we stayed the night 7 hours into the trip and on the way home we drove straight through. Overall she did great!

This video shows almost everything that we did that week, we had the best time and we were so sad to have to come home. Soley just loves Jon's parents, she played every minute of the day with them. Jon and I even got to go see a movie and dinner one night, we have not seen a movie out in almost 2 years! It was so much fun! We hope to go back again next year to the beach.

I titled this video blessings because that is truly what Jon's parents are. I can't imagine Soley's life or ours with out them. Soley is totally in love with the both of them and enjoys every minute that she gets with them. They truly are christ centered people who love Soley more then anything in the whole world. We hope and pray someday that they will join us here in Kentucky to make even more memories. Steve and Karen I hope you love this video, what great parents you were to Jon raising him to know and love the lord. I can't wait to see how you influence Soley over the years.

First day of school???

The other day I helped out at a mothers day out program in the 1 year old classroom, since this was Soley's first official day of "school" with her mommy as a teacher we took her picture before we left! She was by far the smartest and cutest little girl there. She had so much fun playing with the other kids, it was a little overwhelming at first but she did great. I have been working with Jon on the idea of homeschooling so we will see how it goes this fall in our preschool that I am doing at home with her, haha! So much fun!
