Catching up...

Well... Lets just say that I should be cleaning the house because the babies are sleeping and Soley is taking her T.V. time, but oh well here we go...

Things have been super crazy around here, but what's new right?

Soley- 4 years old, 31 pounds 42 inches

Soley started t-ball a few weeks ago and that seems to be going great.  She tends to be a little shy in new situations so it's good for her, and it's good for her to be around kids her own age because she is with the babies all day! Jon is coaching her t-ball team so it's also a good way for them to spend some extra time together.  I try and watch but I spend most of my time chasing the babies trying to keep them off the field! HAHA She is also still doing Dancing Tumble bears which is a combination of ballet, tap and gymnastics.  We just signed her up for soccer starting this fall at our church, I plan to help coach with a friend of ours, who's little boy will be on the same team.  I'm excited to see how that all goes! We finally got the approval letter from Soley's school that she was accepted for the fall! We decided to put her into a private Christian, classical education school.  It's a hybrid school, which means that the children go to school 3 days a week and you homeschool on the opposite days.  She will be starting Pre-K this year and the school continues up until graduation at 12th grade.  It's such a weight off our shoulders knowing that we have this taken care of, if you live in Louisville you know how crazy our school system is! What's most important to us is that she is in a christian environment and I think we have chosen a great school for that! She will wear uniforms and all, even starting this year!

Jalen- 19 months, 29 pounds

Jalen is doing amazing! The progress that he has made over the last few months is really starting to show.  He is starting to show more affection to us and trust us more.  It's so scary what these sweet kids go through before they are placed but we are just happy that things are looking up from here! Jalen was accepted into first steps a while ago so he has therapy once a week with a OT and Speech therapist.  We were able to use the same therapist that we are using with Mya so now they just come more days and hours! Sometimes it feels like they are all part of our family, because they are here so much! Jalen was also accepted into a Therapeutic preschool here! He will also start in the fall and go the same three days as Soley.  (Both kids go half days, not full) Jalen is all boy, he is obsessed with any ball, or sport, throwing, jumping anything boy, and I love it! Jalens case is going well.  We just recently went to court for him and were able to talk to the judge and his attorney.  We were approved to take him to Canada!!! His case as of now has been sent for audit to the Cabinets attorneys, we are waiting to hear a response from them in regards to TRP (termination of parental rights) If they choose to take the case (meaning they think we have enough evidence to win in a trial) then we will soon get to meet with them and hear what the plan will be for Jalens Permanency hearing.  It takes about 6 months to go to trial.  Again as always, anything can change at any min, so we don't get our hopes up for anything.

Mya- 13 months 17 pounds

Mya is still our little peanut! She appears to look like she is 9 months in size but her gross motor skills are more of a 13 month old.  She loves to climb.  She can climb anything and will! She was just recently released from all her therapist except for speech.  She will continue speech for another 6 months and then reevaluate again. Mya is doing amazing and has become very attached to me. She is struggling with separation anxiety but I think it's just her age.  She will start visits this week at her dads house supervised by her social worker.  This is not something that we are happy about but know it's out of our control.  I should know more about Mya's case in about 4 weeks. Mya's bio dad did give us permission to take her to Canada!

So that's what's going on around here! We are waiting to get the babies passports and then this family will be heading to Canada soon, very exciting! We also are going to the beach in the fall with my family (assuming we get approval again) it will be a great trip!

Yes she can climb this entire thing!

I recently went down to where Mya does her visits and took out all the old toys and cleaned to entire place and put in all new toys! It turned out great!

So this is in our near future... Yes we will need a triple stroller! Better start saving our money!

Just gave Jalen a hair cut, it was SO LONG! It's still almost white, and he is as cute as can be!
